As a young man and a World War II Veteran, he met the love of his life, Betty (Petra) Castillo. They married 3 weeks later. After 63 years growing together, they had 14 children. His companian, whom he affecationately referred to as "Shoda",and her to him "Shodo", He lived only 5 months after she died. Everyday, all day, from the time woke up till he went to sleep, he looked for her every minuet of the day. (he was suffering from alzhiemers). It was so sad when he would ask us "wheres Mama"? Everytime we told him it was like the the 1st time he heard about it. The family wondered how long he could live without her, Well it was only from October until March he, missed her so much it was so sad to see him like that. We were fortunate, Dad and Mom tried thier hardest to give us boudaries and morals. Some of us listend and others didn't, ouch, They loved all of us the same. We remember as kids swimming in the canals, spinning top, and most of all, playing marbles. He was the champ! They both worked very hard to provide all we needed and more. Our house was an open house to family, neighbors, friends and strangers, who were'nt strangers for to long. Since Jonny was born, and still now, TACO SUNDAYS, I hope it goes on forever. Someday, old man, we will all laugh and talk together. We all miss you so much, me myself (Lee-Pie) cryed all day and everyday for 4 month's after mom died, just to Loose you 1 month later. We will all be fine, knowing we all will be together soon. They lost thier 2nd daughter, in 1996, Mom took that very bad, she wasnt supposed to bury her children, we were supposed to bury her. They where survieved by 13 children, Sophie Kiggins, Frank Moreno Jr, Ofelia Fitzgerald, Jonny Moreno, Isabel O'neal, Fernando Moreno, (me) Lee-Pie Wrisk, Teeni Moreno,Benny Moreno, Toni Marie Foster (Lulu), Patsi Moreno, Birdi Moreno, And our Baby, Eileen Copeland.
